These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Remora website, device, and app (the “Service”), operated by Remora Technologies Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By buying a device or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use the Service.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account details secure and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@remora.com if you suspect unauthorised use.

Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and, in particular:

  • To obtain any consent required by law before recording any person.
  • Not to use the Service to harass, stalk, or infringe the rights of others.
  • Not to misuse, reverse engineer, or interfere with the device, app, or our systems.
  • Not to resell or commercially redistribute the Service without our written permission.

You are solely responsible for how you record and for the content you capture.

Orders and pricing

All prices are listed in USD and may change at any time. We try to keep product and pricing information accurate, but errors can occur; we may cancel an order affected by an obvious error and refund any amount paid.

Intellectual property

The Service, including our software, branding, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app and device for their intended purpose. Your recordings and the content you generate remain yours.

Software and updates

We may update the app and device software from time to time to improve or secure the Service. Some features depend on an active internet connection or a current software version.

Warranty and disclaimers

Your device comes with a limited warranty as described on the Return & Refund page. Except as required by law, the Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we do not guarantee that transcription or summaries will be error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data or recordings. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the Service if you breach these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, and disputes will be handled by the courts of San Francisco County, California.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
